About Ava
Ava is from Grover Beach, California. She grew up dancing with her home studio SLO Movement Arts Collective. She moved to Chicago in 2021 to dance with Common Conservatory. Ava then relocated to Leeds, England to dance with Northern School of Contemporary Dance where she earned her dance certification. A few teachers Ava has worked with are Amury Leburn, Keria Martin, Alice Klock and Florian Lochner, Antonio Buhar, Robin Mineko Willimas, Meredith Dincolo, and Drew Louis. In 2023 Ava began choreographing and presenting her first work on stage with Simantikos choreo kick-off. Now Ava's choreo has been shown in Hops & Bops, Simantikos Choreo Kick Off, Delve Chicago, Common Ground, and Future Artist with Still Inspired. Ava Is apart of two dance companies here in Chicago as well as, teaching at Tutu School Chicago and Snap Dance Studios where she teaches contemporary, ballet and lyrical! I love to have fun in my classes! I believe creating a safe, fun, kind, supportive and trusting environment is the key to a great teacher student relationship as well as a well running class. I can teach children as small as 18 months ( with a caretaker to assist) up to any age! We can tailor the class to you and what you are looking to achieve together. We can come up with goals like, You want to learn a dance combo, a solo, how to turn, jump, safely get to the floor, floor work ect. Once we know your goals we can set the class and work on those thing each week!
