About Leela
My passion for architecture began with a fascination for urban spaces, structures, and their impact on people’s lives, which led me to pursue a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Sustainable Architecture. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students through conceptual exploration, skill development, and portfolio creation, helping them build confidence and creative expression. My approach emphasizes structured guidance, practical exercises, and mentorship to ensure students reach their full potential. I focus on adapting lessons to individual learning styles, blending visual demonstrations, hands-on projects, and theoretical discussions. Encouraging independent thinking, problem-solving, and experimentation is central to my teaching philosophy. Patience, constructive feedback, and personalized support help students progress steadily. Beyond teaching, I stay engaged with design research, sustainability trends, and contemporary architectural practices, which enriches my lessons with real-world relevance. Beginners start with foundational skills such as proportion, perspective drawing, and basic conceptualization techniques. Intermediate learners explore advanced drawing methods, 3D modeling, design problem-solving, and material applications. Advanced learners focus on complex projects, portfolio preparation, architectural presentation, and sustainable design solutions. Lessons are designed to combine theory with practical exercises, helping students express ideas confidently while understanding underlying architectural principles.
Studying architecture strengthens creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Students develop the ability to visualize space, consider both function and aesthetics, and approach design challenges systematically.
