About Nithya
Hi! I’m Nithya. I’m a current UC Santa Cruz student and dedicated computer programming tutor with seven years of experience in Python and Java. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to helping students gain confidence in coding! I know that every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand how each student thinks and adapt my lessons to their needs. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and photography. I’m excited to meet new students and help them become more confident and independent learners!

My lessons are hands-on, personalized, and focused on helping students understand programming. I begin each class with a quick check-in to review previous material, answer questions, and identify anything the student is struggling with. We then learn a new concept through clear explanations and examples before practicing it together. Lessons include coding exercises, games, assignments, quizzes, and larger projects. Throughout my classes, students will get access to slides, quizzes, and capstone projects for Python students. I work with beginners through advanced students and adapt each lesson to their goals, pace, and experience.
