My love for the classical guitar began at the age of 14 and has remained a lifelong source of joy. While I’ve shared performances on YouTube through church events, I’ve generally stayed away from social media. In retirement, my goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years, and I’m excited to make that dream a reality. It’s never too late to start learning! For retirees, playing guitar can be a deeply fulfilling way to spend your time. For younger students, all inquiries must be made through a responsible adult.
**Our Mission**
At Uncle Bob Guitar, we aim to inspire musicians of all ages to explore the artistry of classical guitar and beyond. Whether lessons are in-person or online, each session is designed to be engaging, personalized, and enriching. Together, we’ll develop your music-reading skills and cultivate your passion for playing guitar.
Using proven classical guitar techniques, I’ll help you build a solid foundation that can transition seamlessly into any musical genre you’re interested in.

Perfect! Uncle Bob is a very knowledgeable and Patient teacher. He will make sure you are learning and enjoying your guitar at the same time. I didn’t know anything about the guitar and now after just a few months, I am playing chords and song. I’m excited for the future! Thanks Uncle Bob…
- Thank you so much, Will, for your thoughtful review! From the moment I met you, I had a strong feeling that you were a fast learner, and you've certainly proven that to be true. It’s been a joy to see your progress—going from knowing nothing about the guitar to confidently playing chords and songs, also reading in just a few months is truly impressive! I'm thrilled you're enjoying the journey and excited about the music ahead. Keep up the great work, and thank you for letting me be part of it!Uncle Bob's response :

Uncle Bob has a very inviting atmosphere. My two boys (11 and 13) look forward to lessons. Uncle Bob is very patient and has an exceptional method of teaching new beginners.
I had a lot of bad habits from trying to teach myself guitar from online videos. After starting lessons, I was not only helped with finding a better guitar. He also helped with fixing all my bad habits, learning how to read music, and exercises that now give me hope that I can play guitar. Thank you! I would recommend to anyone.
Uncle Bob is a top-tier guitarist & an even better instructor. My 6 year old daughter (5 when she started) & I have been taking lessons with Uncle Bob for over a year now. His patience & ability to teach my daughter never ceases to amaze me. His lifelong experience, enthusiasm, and love for the guitar make him the perfect person to take lessons from. 10/10!
