About Faith
I’m a friendly teacher who is there to guide students to meet their goals in an enjoyable way. I’m particularly passionate about using yoga to support students to become more mindful and connect with what’s happening in their mind and body. By using the breath as a focal point throughout my lessons, it provides an opportunity for students to become more aware of any tension in mind or body and to let that tension go and become more relaxed.

My classes are tailored to the goals of my students but usually begin with breathwork (5 minutes of tuning into your breath or practising a breathing exercise), then move through a flow-style sequence of postures and finish with a stretch-based cool down and relaxation. I offer Vinyasa Flow (fluid sequence of postures), Yin (postures held for a few minutes at a time to focus on flexibility) or meditation based classes depending on the aims and preferences of my students. For example, some prefer a much longer section of guided meditation and others prefer to work on flexibility. I encourage my students to tune out of the busyness of the everyday and tune in to their mind and body, to let go of stress, and most of all to enjoy the yoga class! I love sharing the mental and physical benefits that yoga can bring, and enjoy working with beginners, those new to yoga as well as those with a little more experience.

Faith took the time to learn what I wanted to achieve through yoga and then designed classes that were tailored to me and my objectives. I learn a little bit more about yoga with every class, even tiny adjustments make a huge difference to my postures. I really enjoy Faith’s classes - a good balance of detail and not taking it too seriously!
I was new to yoga and quite inflexible but from the first lesson Faith made me feel comfortable to move at my own pace and not feel as if I have to push myself into poses that create discomfort in my body. Postures like downward facing dog and warrior 2, I had heard of before but never knew how to do properly so Faith took the time to explain these poses in detail and I can see myself getting better and better at yoga every week. Would highly recommend practising with Faith.
