About Rohini
A top grammar school teacher with over ten years experience and over five years experience in tutoring of all the main exam boards. I have a BSc degree in Medicinal Chemistry and a Masters in Science education from UCL. I also undertake work for Ofqual and am an examiner for Pearson.
I am an experienced grammar school teacher with 14+ years of experience at a renown school ranked number 1 in the UK. I am qualified to teach secondary education students, and have most experience teaching students preparing for both GCSEs and A Levels. My main subject is chemistry, however I am experienced with teaching science to KS3 students. Across all my students, 90%+ have achieved top grade 9s at GCSE level and A*s at A Level. 100% of my students have gone onto study at Cambridge, Oxford, UCL and a variety of Russel Group Universities.

The structure:
- Lessons will be catered specifically to the need of the student. Lessons will be interactive with regular chaptering to assess progress throughout the lesson.
- Upon the first lesson, I identify which areas need focussing on and begin strengthening the foundation knowledge, building up to the harder content overtime.
- I run lessons in a supportive manner and take all topics a step at a time.
- I encourage all my students to ask questions throughout the lesson and frequently ask questions to ensure they are understanding all content taught.
- I have a clear lesson plan to follow which is delivered according to each students' exam specification.
- As an experienced examiner, I also work on exam technique particularly closer to exam season - this ensures that students are prepared and confident to attempt all types of questions.
Assessments:
- In lesson assessments will be a regular approach used to monitor understanding and lessons will be adapted accordingly, instead of the content just being taught.
- All assessments are set according to the students' exam boards.
