About Ian
Rhythm guitar, songwriting, scales and modes, lead guitar, reading sheet music, improvisation and soloing, and barre chords define my daily practice. I admit that learning through cassette tapes and tabs was messy, yet it forged the path I now walk. With 8 years of experience teaching others, my work balances self-taught curiosity with formal theory.

My 15 plus years of gigging experience inform how I view the fretboard as a compositional tool rather than just a showpiece. Being self-taught means I understand the frustration of hitting a plateau.
