About Maximus
Hi, I’m Maximus, a 16-year-old student who has recently completed my GCSEs. One of my favourite subjects was Hospitality & Catering, and I really enjoyed learning about food preparation, food safety, nutrition and the hospitality industry.
I have always enjoyed helping others understand topics they find difficult, which is why I decided to become an online tutor. As someone who has recently studied the subject, I understand the course content and the challenges students may face.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking and developing my knowledge of food and hospitality. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their understanding of the subject and achieve the best results they can.

Hi, I’m Maximus!
I have recently completed my GCSEs and Hospitality & Catering was one of my favourite subjects. I really enjoyed learning about food safety, nutrition, food preparation, the hospitality industry and how food businesses operate, and I would love to help other students understand and enjoy the subject too.
My aim is to create a friendly, patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s needs and explain topics in a clear, simple way until they feel confident.
As I have recently studied the course myself, I understand the topics students can find difficult and can explain them using straightforward examples. Whether you need help with homework, revision, coursework (where appropriate) or preparing for exams, I will work with you to build your confidence and knowledge step by step.
Lessons are taught online using Zoom or Microsoft Teams and are suitable for students studying Food Technology or Hospitality & Catering at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
