I use the commonly used online resources, such as PMT, to introduce key points in topics in the subject. To further a student's understanding, I would either draw out diagrams or break down difficult-to-understand sections into simpler analogies acting under the same principle. Once a decent level of understanding was reached, practice questions were done to help apply prior learning and make it stick. A few practice questions would be done at the start of every session to make sure content is not forgotten.
