About Hao
I am an architectural designer based in Montreal. I recently completed my graduate studies (M.Arch) at Yale University School of Architecture, and I completed my Bachelor studies in Architecture at McGill University.
During my graduate studies at Yale, I have 3 years of experience as a Teaching Fellow. My teaching resume includes:

Hello future students,
I structure my class based on YOUR needs.
Applying for an architecture school could be a daunting task. What is an architecture portfolio? How should you prepare it without an architectural background? How do you best showcase your potential with your existing work?
In the first lesson with me, I would like to learn about your goal. What is your academic background? Why do you want to study architecture? What is your goal & is there any existing materials that we can work with?
In my lessons, I provide different structures for students with and without an architectural background.
For students with an architecture background. I will focus on:
- design critique of your studio projects
- drawing and representational skills critique
- architecture portfolio organization
- application essay writing workshop
For students without an architecture background, I will focus on:
- how to read an architecture project
- design exercise and drawing practices for portfolio material
- application essay writing workshop
This class is for you:
- If you are a high school student interested in going into an architecture major
- a university graduate applying for a professional graduate degree in architecture.
- a high school or university student who is applying for higher ed institutions in the US.
