About Sam
Hi! I’m Sam, and I’m a high school English teacher at an independent school in Queens, NYC. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Michigan (Highest Honors) and Yale University. After pursuing a career in health care, I discovered my vocation was working as an educator. Much like medicine, education at its best is therapeutic, preventive even. Beyond the classroom, I’ve published widely in academic journals and public venues, including the New England Journal of Medicine, The Journal of the History of Medicine & Allied Sciences, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, STAT News, and The Drift.
