About Uma
I am a singing tutor with over six years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Voice. I specialize in working with adult beginners, hobbyists, and those returning to singing after a long break. My lessons are calm, supportive, and completely low pressure. I believe everyone can sing when given the right guidance and space. Breathwork and vocal relaxation are the foundation of my teaching. I focus strongly on posture, healthy tone development, and ease in the voice. Mindfulness in music is woven into every session. It helps singers feel present and confident. I teach styles such as Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult. Singing, for me, is a powerful form of self-care and creative expression.
