About Kayla
I am a singing tutor with over five years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance. My greatest joy is working with adult beginners and those returning to singing after a long break. Maybe you want to sing in a community choir, enjoy karaoke, or just feel more confident at social gatherings. I create a low-pressure environment where learning feels encouraging, not stressful. We start with the basics like breathwork and vocal relaxation to release tension. Good posture and mindfulness in music are also key parts of our time together. I help you develop a richer, more beautiful tone, and I love teaching genres like Jazz, Folk, Blues, and Contemporary Adult music. For me, singing is a powerful form of self-care and a wonderful way to build confidence. It is never too late to discover the joy of making music.
