About Imogen
I am a Cornish actor who moved to London to pursue acting. I have a BA in English and Drama from UEA, a Masters from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and just finished working on the West End. I have also formed my own theatre company and have worked abroad, directing and making shows.
No one in my family is in the arts, so I have had to strive to understand the industry myself, so if you're eager to be an actor or creative but don't know where to start, I can help you! Whether its performing, writing or discovering your own creative practice, I can aid your artistic goals by teaching you different methodologies to build confidence, expertise and industry knowledge.
Whether you want to set up a daily creative practice, work on something specific, work on speaking - I can make sure you come away from my class feeling braver, more competent and understand your own creativity at a deeper level!
A huge part of being creative is confidence and self love, so I can also provide practices that help build these aspects too.

My techniques include: Scene Study, Shakespeare, Physical Theatre, Devised Theatre (making your own work), Stanislavski's Method, Brechtian techniques, David Mamet's Methodology of Listening and Authenticity, Improvisation, Immersive Theatre, Screen Acting, Playwriting, Poetry and Short Story writing. I also can help with applications to drama school.
Lessons will be 1hr to 1hr 30 min, depending on what practice the student is looking for.
I have worked with Tender Charity, providing drama workshops for teens to discuss societal issues. I also spent six months in Nepal using drama to embolden children and adults to express their desired community development. Recently, I have been working with Hidden Leaders; an organisation that provides extra-curricular developmental lessons such as Improvisation and Creative Writing. I also have two years experience running an immersive theatre show for children in London.
I can adapt lessons to suit the neds of the individual. Minimum age of 8 years.
