I've spent several years teaching children and am now expanding into Biology, Chemistry, and Maths tutoring. With seven grade 9s at GCSE, including in these subjects, I understand exactly what's required to reach the top grades.
My teaching style focuses on breaking difficult topics into smaller, manageable steps, so students can build understanding gradually rather than feeling overwhelmed by large quantities of content being thrown at once.

Gerda has been an excellent tutor. Chemistry has never been my strongest subject, but her lessons helped me achieve my GCSE goals with confidence. Thank you!
Gerda was my tutor for chemistry when we were together in year 11 and chemistry was difficult for me. She helped me understand the subject easier and achieve a grade 7 even though I was predicted a 5!
Thank you so much for your help Gerda!!!Gerda is a Fab tutor. She is friendly, patient and explains things in a way that makes difficult topics much easier to understand (sometimes even funny). I especially appreciated that she never made me feel embarrassed about asking questions or getting something wrong.
One lesson that really stood out was when we went through a topic I had been struggling with because of my school teacher ️. Gerda broke it down step by step and gave me different ways of thinking about the questions which helped everything finally lock in
I’d definitely recommend Gerda to anyone looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and approachable tutor!!!View more recommendations
