About Ariana

I am a person of many interests. I have a ranging skill set from STEM to arts. I was a senior in high-school two years ahead, while also doing part-time college.

I am a self-proclaimed master of efficiency and can help you become one too.

A couple of years after I learned English - the summer between third and fourth grade my mother took us to the library. It was doing an event: read 100 hours before the school year started and get a prize when you finish. My siblings and I took on the challenge.

I'm very competitive and became quite close with the paper with 100 boxes side by side printed on it all following a winding path ending with a finish line. Every day I read and read. There were times that I would finish a kid's chapter book in one sitting.

I didn't like ALL that I read but there were times when certain books that intrigued me and spiked my curiosity. I didn't know about genres at the time but I was developing a taste an opinion on books. The school year started with me gradually making a habit of reading any moment available.

In fourth grade (like all the previous years of school, even in the year I first learned English) I finished my work faster than anyone - which gave me plenty of time to indulge in reading. My parents gifted me The Chronicles of Narnia, a fantastical series written by a theologian C.S.Lewis for kids, drawing from his childhood imagination. It consists of seven books. I started on Monday and before Sunday evening I was finished. THIS is what captured my heart and soul like nothing else.

Literacy is so healthy and helpful in life. No matter what you read, when you read a lot you become smarter and a more interesting person. It takes some time and dedication to find what you like, but you can go from reading one children's fantasy to reading complex theology to reading YA and learning to love more and more genres.

My parents always took my education very seriously but I believe a breakthrough happened once I ventured into the world of books. A breakthrough which led me to doing the fifth grade material in the next summer and going straight to middle school after fourth grade.

This breakthrough led to me starting to start building my own world in my head and start jotting down the ideas on to paper at 11 years old. My passion...and definitely my skill only grew over the years and I want others to experience such love for literature.

You definitely don't have to spend hours reading, undergoing training in writing, and sleepless nights working on a manuscript, all thing I find myself doing, but I can teach you many things because I'm a fervent learner alongside you, having spend dedicated time to sharpening my comprehension, spelling, grammatical skills, and honing my writing abilities.

When it comes to the arts:
- I mingle in different mediums and techniques including alcohol markers, watercolor, graphite, charcoal, digital art, etc.
- Private piano lessons and commitment since the 4th grade.
- Took on second instrument in 9th grade for fun.
- Am I writer on the side of my education.
- Working on a project for a webcomic that will be starting to release episodes soon.
- Have a three book series and a short novella in progress.
- Also, currently a beta reader for a soon-to-be published book.

About the class

- I want to start by getting to know you to set the right learning techniques, and what exactly you're struggling with to figure out a strategic plan to make sure you learn more effectively.
- Help with Homework: We will start by learning about the material and what it is.
- Customizable lesson plan and pace for each individual student.
- Each lesson is enjoyable and will leave you with a lot you can do on your own.
- I prioritize students retaining information and understanding concepts so that you would become independent in their studies.
- My lessons focus on building a strong foundation in the basic and correct structures of the English language.
