About Lucy

I am currently a postgraduate student after taking a career change, going from performing to dramaturgy. My acting and singing training spans from attending local drama clubs since childhood, Theatre Studies A Level and LAMDA certificate to full time professional training and performance in Vienna, Austria.

About the class

I'm interested in getting to know you as a performer, and helping you to build upon your individuality. It's important to me to not create a 'cookie cutter' performer, but to embrace and hone the skills and personality of each of my students.

We'll work on connection with your body and voice, text analysis, practitioners, posture, breathing, physicality, characterisation, connection to your inner world... whatever you want! In a world where we are often hunched over a computer, it's very easy for us to lose connection with our body, our most vital tool as an actor. I believe this is the key to truly entering a role, and we'll explore how best to do that.

My lessons are mostly aimed at GCSE, A Level, LAMDA exams and drama school auditions.

With Lucy we know each other from our musical - theatre studies in Vienna and she is one of the kindest, most sensitive and caring people I know. She respect other people and their space and always tries to understand their point of view and opinions. She is very professional, really knows her craft and loves the art with all being. I couldn’t imagine a better aspiring young tutor than her.

Lucy was so helpful and very thorough in her advice and encouragement during my tutorials. I trusted her advice as it really helped my confidence in what I did. The feedback she gave was extremely useful and I gained skills I didn’t think I was capable of. I still turn to Lucy for advice and she is full of encouragement in all I do.
