My teaching philosophy is centred on creating enjoyable trumpet lessons that inspire students to grow both technically and artistically. Each lesson is customised to match the student's goals, whether learning for personal enjoyment, school performances, examinations, competitions, or professional development.
We begin by building strong fundamentals through posture, breathing exercises, embouchure development, articulation, rhythm, note reading, scales, and tone production. As students gain confidence, lessons include flexibility, endurance, range development, dynamics, phrasing, expressive playing, music theory, sight reading, and ear training.
Advanced students receive coaching in orchestral excerpts, jazz performance, solo literature, ensemble techniques, improvisation, and audition preparation. I provide detailed feedback, personalised exercises, and continuous encouragement to ensure students progress steadily while enjoying every lesson.
