About Hannah
I am currently obtaining my bachelor’s of science from the University of Victoria in Canada. I am majoring in biochemistry and minoring in earth sciences. My lifelong passion for science inspired me to pursue post-secondary education and motivates my academic success. I graduated from secondary school with academic honors and have a 4.0 GPA in my post-secondary studies.
I love chemistry, but I am aware that it can be a source of anxiety for many students. I would love the opportunity to help make chemistry less scary, and to inspire more young people to pursue sciences.
I also have experience tutoring a variety of other subjects such as biology and English. Chemistry is the focus of this listing because it is the subject I have the most experience teaching, but others are open for discussion.

With 3 years of chemistry tutoring experience, I have had the opportunity to work with students from many different backgrounds and with unique learning styles. My teaching method focuses on comprehension rather than memorization and repetition to achieve independent problem solving proficiency. I like to begin by identifying the student’s current level and determining what learning styles work best for them. I have experience working with students who have diverse learning challenges such as ADHD (which I have myself) and other LD’s that affect math or writing fluency. My ultimate goal is to provide my students with effective learning and studying practices that will aid them throughout their education.
