About Charlene
I am a recent UCSD alumni who has always had a passion fro English. I have tutored students for about three years, and was actually a tutoring student myself back in elementary and middle school. I am an empathetic person, so I will not force anything upon my students that I feel like will unnecessarily stress them out. We will always go at their leisure, which I find is the best method that allows them to be most productive. As a student myself for the past 20 years, I can also gauge what style of teaching the students prefer and am able to relate to them on a deeper level regarding academia because I am a recent graduate.

I go at their pace, but also challenge them to expand their learning every other session. If there is work from school, then I will do my best to help them succeed, but if there is no school work, I create fun challenges that allows them to harbor more advanced English skills. K-12 are preferred for me.
