About Yassin
I'm Yassin, a medical student at UCL. I've been a tutor for over 3 years now and have helped countless students excel in their GCSE and A-level subjects as well as getting them through the medical school admissions process with UCAT, personal statement, and interviews. My friends would describe me as both a hard worker and a light-hearted person. As well as my deep-rooted passion for Medicine and becoming a doctor, I'm also passionate about playing tennis and playing the piano. Tutoring is a rewarding way for me to make a difference in students’ lives who are struggling to meet their targets and trying to excel at school and meet their goals.

I specialise in maths and sciences because this is what I excelled at during school, hence giving me the knowledge to be able to help students succeed and feel more confident in their subject after every lesson. My lessons always consist of two main overarching goals: 1) Learn and understand the content 2) Apply the content To help students learn the content, I use a variety of resources and notes to source the content that is specific to their exam board and then explain everything in detail using the OneNote whiteboard platform, encouraging students to interact, engage, and ask questions to make sure the topic is ingrained in their memory. For the second goal, I always incorporate practice questions into every lesson and provide students with homework which I mark before each lesson to maximise my understanding of their progress. Tracking progress and adapting lessons based on this information has been at the heart of all the successful learning journeys with my students.
