About Deborah
My name is Deborah and I have a Bachelor of Science in Math from UBC. I have been tutoring students one-on-one for over 2 years now, mainly in Pre-Calculus 11/12 but as young as Grade 4 as well. I am familiar with the BC Curriculum, having been through the system myself. I tailor each lesson to each student! Whether you need help with homework problems, preparing for a math contest, or want to sharpen your overall skills, I got you covered!
I started teaching because I genuinely love math and I believe everyone can learn to be good at it given the right tools!

Lessons are given online through Pencil Spaces, as it allows us to call and use an interactive space. We can have just as an effective session online as in-person. I also have a touch-screen and stylus which helps me write, but don't sweat if you don't have one!
Currently, I have a semi-flexible schedule. All I ask is that you communicate with me at least 8 hours ahead of the scheduled time if anything changes.
You can send me material you would like to work on ahead of time or a few minutes before. Then we can start working on problems together. You can visit the space anytime to review the work we've done. Link is the same as the meeting link.
I don't bite! I have a patient and understanding approach so we can go as fast or as slow as you want. But I will also make sure that you walk away from each lesson having done a chunk of work that you are proud of.
