About Melody
I am a chemistry professor. I teach introductory, general, and organic chemistry. I provide undergraduate research opportunities for college students. I have written curriculum for the US through K-12 Stride and developed instructional content for teachers all over the world. I am a published scientist who has performed cancer research and educational research. I am an alumnus to the NASA social program. I have had invitations to institutions such as the Francis Crick Institute in London. I have given talks all over the world in effective science communication and delivery of challenging content. I have also provided professional development opportunities for science teachers. Together, we can work to close the gaps in your knowledge and help you achieve a strong understanding of challenging science concepts. I look forward to working with you.

My lessons involve understanding how you learn and developing a strategic plan to help bridge the gaps in your knowledge so you can master challenging content.
My students learn crucial study skills in addition to standard curriculum concepts in multiple disciplines of chemistry, biology, and physical science.
My students have an age range of middle school to senior citizen. I have taught students who require ADA classroom modifications to help their learning needs. My students have had diverse backgrounds that include no experience to exceptional experience with science.
