About Katie
Hi there! I help yoga students go beyond the standard studio class and go deeper into your body and mind.
My training is in the traditional style of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Tristana. I studied in India under the direct teaching lineage of Swami Rama. This, along with my personal practice and teaching experience, has given me the knowledge to guide students through their journeys from beginners to advanced practitioners.

During our asana (yoga poses) practice, we will go deep into understanding it as more than just "stretching". Asanas are tools to balance and cleanse all of the bodily systems hence their ability to prevent and cure sickness in the body.
We will follow this by balancing and cleansing the mind through various exercises including pranayama (breathing techniques), yoga nidra (guided body scan meditation), and swadyaya (self-observation). These are understood as tools to prevent and cure sickness in the mind.
If you are interested, I will also lead you through balancing and cleansing your chakras. Not only is this necessary to reach the higher stages of yoga, but it will increase your vitality and enjoyment of life.
Furthermore, I specialise in yoga for women. In particular, I help women to heal pre-menstrual suffering through yoga and modern science. If this is you and you need some assistance, I would be delighted to counsel you to a pain-free physical and mental state.
