I start the tutoring sessions by going over students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning style as a way to approach the session effectively. When going over information, I break it into smaller parts and review it over time, using examples as needed. I make sure to still emphasize the main idea and ask students guiding questions that lead them to discover the answers on their own. I am familiar with different teaching/study styles and able to accommodate to students' needs. During my session, I make sure to continuously give constructive feedback and encouragement. Something that sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to create a supportive environment for students. I am also fluent in 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese) which helps me connect with non-native speakers and make the learning process more relatable. My goal as a tutor is not just to help and teach but also to inspire learners to trust their own abilities so they can continue to grow after our sessions.
