About Ravi
I am a Sustainable Development masters graduate at Cambridge University. I have 2.5 years of working at a top engineering consultancy, first as a mechanical engineer and then a sustainability consultant. I first studied at the University of Bristol, achieving a first-class masters in mechanical engineering. I did Physics, Maths and Further Maths at A-Level, achieving 2 A* and an A. At GCSE, I achieved 8 A* and 2A's. I have previous experience of online tutoring during my first spell at university.

When it comes to preparing for exams, I have learnt from my time at university that the most effective way to do well is to really understand the theory before just throwing yourself into questions. This is because it is easy to learn the questions and their answers but if the student doesn't understand what the theory behind it is then they won't be able to solve questions when they slightly change the question. I would like to go over the theory with the student first and speak it through with them to see if they truly understand it. Then we would start going into questions and I would work through the first few with them. When I feel that they are confident then I will set question to do themselves and I'll then go over the answers with them. I also like to have a discussion with the parents and the student at the start to see what level the student is at and what they really need help in.
