About Turner
Having taught piano for 7 years, I focus on creating lessons that are engaging, practical, and student-centred. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music, giving me a strong foundation in theory and performance. I have experience teaching beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students preparing for exams and performances. My lessons are customised to each student’s needs, focusing on developing technical skills and musical expression. I use real-life examples and case studies to make rhythm, melody, and harmony relatable and easy to understand. Motivation is central, and I encourage students to set goals and celebrate achievements along the way. Problem-solving exercises are integrated to develop independent thinking and analytical skills. I emphasise integrity, creating a safe, honest, and supportive environment for learning. I am flexible, adapting lessons to the student’s pace, skill level, and personal objectives. Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition. I prepare students for exams, recitals, and competitions while fostering creativity and confidence.
