About Naia
I am currently studying Law/Creative arts at the University of Wollongong, and attended Smith's Hill High School (academically selective), graduating in 2018. I got a band 6 in biology in senior school, and have five years of tutoring kids of all ages and abilities. A recent graduate achieved an 89 in HSC biology (previously her worst/least confident subject). I love helping kids build their confidence in school!

My teaching method is student-led and aims to encourage their confidence in their abilities to grow. I isolate particular focus areas with students by talking to them and their parents and reviewing past school reports, exams or schoolwork. An initial session will usually include this (if not already discussed) and I will also go over a variety of question types within the study area with the student to further understand their thought processes and where they are having more troubles.
After this initial session, I very much listen to the students' needs, setting goals with them and planning sessions accordingly. I'm very flexible with my teaching methodology as I understand from experience that everybody learns differently. I believe it's extremely important to help students find their own understanding of a subject as it helps with their motivation and confidence in themselves.
