About Hatty
My specialism is painting and drawing, I have been painting for 16 years, professionally as a figurative artist and scenic (set) painter, and have taught students privately and in classes. I work online, in person at my studio and can travel to lessons also. I understand the portfolio process well, as well as the specific differences in selection preferences of top London art schools such as The Slade, Goldsmiths, CSM, Camberwell and Chelsea. I take a tailored approach to art teaching, initially getting a thorough understanding of where the student is and what their goals and challenges are. From there I can build a tailored lesson and exercise plan with achievable goals and daily exercises to get the student creating what they really want to make and finding their unique artistic voice in the most relaxed and enjoyable way possible. I can help with portfolio preparation and interview guidance. This includes suggesting or helping hone specific projects that cater to individual art school areas of interest, in particular the Slade.
