About Troy
I am a undergrad physics major at Hiram looking to go to grad school for astrophysics. I tutored multiple subjects in high school and became employed at my college my sophomore year as a tutor. In college I mainly tutor math (algebra 1 through calculus 2) and physics, but am also a marketing tutor. I have done physics research and presented my findings at the March American Physical Society convention in LA last spring.
My aim as a tutor is to give others the ability not only to pass their subjects, but to grasp the information so they may use it to better themselves and their career.

My teaching tactics are based on what my student wants to get out of the lessons.
If you want homework help, practice problems need to be gone over. If you want to understand a concept better, reading the textbook and online sources may provide insight on a new way to understand it.
For problem solving, I typically like to solve a problem with the student, then have them attempt a similar problem on their own, helping them where they get stuck. This allows me to pinpoint the area they need work, while also not wasting time explaining something they know, but just momentarily forgot.
