About José Ramón

Hello! My name is José Ramón, and I'm a Physics student. I chose this degree because of my passion for understanding how things work and for solving complex problems, two aspects I try to convey in each of my classes. Throughout my academic journey, I've learned that mathematics and science aren't about "having a gift," but rather about having the right method, perseverance, and an explanation that connects with each person's learning style. My commitment and professionalism: For me, tutoring is a serious and highly responsible endeavor. I don't just answer a few questions in an afternoon; I'm committed to each student's continuous progress. I prepare each session individually, analyzing the student's specific difficulties and the school's criteria so that every hour invested translates into a real improvement in grades and increased self-confidence. Academic approachability and empathy: I vividly remember my high school years and preparing for university entrance exams: the demanding schedules, the pressure of grades, and that feeling of being stuck when you don't get a topic right the first time. That's why my classes are a safe and supportive environment where there are no silly questions and making mistakes is a natural part of learning. I explain concepts patiently, clearly, and without unnecessary jargon, adjusting the pace as needed until the idea is fully grasped. Additional Training and Languages: I have a certified C1 level of English, which allows me to teach fluently to students in bilingual schools or international programs, covering both theoretical explanations and subject-specific terminology. If you're looking for structured, consistent, and personalized support to overcome math difficulties, regain confidence, or secure a good university entrance grade, I'd be delighted to help you achieve your goals.

My teaching method: My goal is for you to stop seeing mathematics as a meaningless list of formulas to memorize and start understanding them step by step. As a university student in the Physics degree program, I work with them every day and I know that the key is not memorization, but understanding what each exercise is asking of you. In class, we break down difficult problems into simpler parts so you learn to reason on your own and gain confidence for the exam. Typical class structure (60 minutes): 1. Questions and initial review (10 min): We answer questions about homework and review what we learned in the last session. 2. Clear explanation of the new topic (15-20 min): I explain the theory with visual examples and we solve a model exercise together step by step, noting the typical mistakes to avoid. 3. Guided practice (25 min): You do the exercises on your own. I'll guide you to correct typical mistakes (signs, clarifications, or getting stuck at the beginning) and teach you how to organize your answers effectively to ensure the highest possible grade. 4. Final summary (5 min): We'll review the key ideas of the session and clarify what to review before the next class. What sets me apart as a teacher: - Approachability: As a university student, I have my high school and university entrance exams fresh in my mind. I understand common learning blocks and explain things clearly and directly. - Patience and adaptability: If an explanation doesn't quite work, we'll find a different way to approach it until you understand. - Bilingual option (C1 level of English): If you're studying in a bilingual program or international school, we can easily conduct the classes in English. - Clear notes: At the end of the class, you'll receive organized outlines with key tips and steps to make studying at home much easier. Who are my classes for? - Secondary school students: For those who want to strengthen their foundation, learn to formulate problems, or simply regain confidence in the subject. - Baccalaureate students (both Science and Social Sciences): To keep up with the material, pass with good grades, and understand the concepts without feeling overwhelmed. - University Entrance Exam (Selectividad/PAU) preparation: Practicing directly with past exams to learn time management and answer exactly what the examiners ask. - Support in Physics and Chemistry: We can also combine sessions with help in these subjects if needed.
