About Jamie
I have used Apple Macs for 18 years both for home use and for business use in publishing and web development. I know the software inside out and always look for the best way of achieving a task. If the Mac was a car, I would have passed the advanced driving test. If you are a regular driver or have a provisional driving licence, I can make you better!

When we first meet I will find out what you want to achieve so I can tailor the training to your needs. I will also find out how you best learn and then from these we’ll agree a training plan that fits your needs. As for the training itself, I am good at explaining concepts in plain English and telling you the reason why things are the way they are to help you properly learn and use your knowledge to tackle new systems/apps on your own in the future.
Here are some of the things we could cover:
• General help navigating around your computer
• Helping with any problems you have encountered
• Help with specific applications such as Word, Excel, Keynote, Pages, Adobe applications
• Top tips for all the shortcuts that let you use your computer more quickly
• For the more advanced user, we can look at how to automate tasks you do frequently, the terminal, shell scripting and the underlying Unix system.
I offer online sessions if you wish, although face-to-face is normally more effective especially when you are facing difficulties.

Perfect! Jamie gave me the info I needed to get started with my MAC Air and set up the aps I wanted to use
Now just a case of using it and noting things I need to sort out on our next meeting.
Jamie is obviously very knowledgeable but not pushy and took care to channel his information to what I specifically wanted to know rather than overloading me.

First free lesson covers the discussion of your needs with training beginning with the next lesson. We could do the first session over the phone if you prefer.
