About Phoebe
Hi there! My name's Phoebe, and I'm 24 years old. I’ve tutored 20+ students virtually and in-person in New Jersey, the Bay Area, and San Diego for the past several years. I love meeting new people and helping them achieve their academic goals.
In high school, I tutored and taught music lessons as extracurricular activities. After gaining a ton of experience and learning more skills, I eventually started working as a part-time tutor. I've worked with students of all ages and taught biology, college prep, calculus/algebra, English, reading, writing, ESL, piano, and violin. I've worked with students as young as three, adult students, and every age in between.
More recently, I completed my undergrad at UC San Diego with a major in human biology and minor in bioethics and finished a post-bacc program at Stanford Medicine.

If you're looking for biology tutoring, you've come to the right place! I tutor all-things biology: AP biology, high school biology, college, etc. Through years of being a student, I’ve found methods of studying difficult biology topics that not only result in A+ grades but also build a strong foundation for students to truly understand the material.
I like to get a sense of what the student is hoping to achieve (high grade, effective studying tools, etc.) Then, I'll ask about his/her learning style, any specific areas in which they're having difficulty, and possible obstacles. Afterwards, I'll come up with a plan and discuss it with the student and/or parent and go from there.
I've worked as a tutor in New Jersey and California, doing both virtual and in-person lessons. I love sharing my passions with others and passing on what I've learned. It's extremely rewarding to help students excel and see them succeed, especially when everything's becoming more competitive.
