About Ishtiaq
I am Dr Rehman; an experienced and passionate GCSE science tutor with over 25 years of teaching. I have previously taught at the University of Sheffield as a University Lecturer, where I taught Medical Students. During my lessons, I help students to: - Understand difficult topics in science - Answer exam questions and teach exam techniques - Answer the longer 6 mark questions - Answer questions on the Required Practicals - Understand Exam Terminology - Answer Graph questions - Build confidence. I have helped hundreds of students achieve or exceed their grades.

I specialise in providing GCSE science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Combined Science) tuition online for Year 10 and Year 11 students in small groups of between 2-3 students. All subjects are taught based on the latest exam board specifications and lessons are 1 hr in duration. I have over 25 years of teaching experience and have spent 15 years teaching at the University of Sheffield Medical School, where I taught postgraduate and Medical Students. I have a wealth of experience gained over the years, which is brought into my GCSE tuition lessons. Also, I have worked for the Sheffield City Council on their ‘Raising attainment’ programme which was aimed at children who required a little extra support, to boost their confidence and grades and help with exam techniques. My teaching approach is different so that every child gains confidence and excels in science subjects. I draw lots of diagrams to help students understand the topic clearly and in detail so they become confident for their exams. Many of my past and present students have leapt grade boundaries in a short space of time. I am here to genuinely support your child all the way along their journey through their GCSE Sciences and even more so as they get closer to their exams.
