About Akshita
Hello everyone, I am a third-year college student pursuing a degree in psychology with an associate's degree in Natural Sciences. I have always loved tutoring; in fact, I started teaching algebra when I was a sophomore in high school, and over the years I have also started tutoring math and chemistry to both college and high school students. I even worked as a math tutor at my college and have been working as a tutor with a non-profit organization for the past 3 years!

I place a high emphasis on working by example which means working through problems together until a sense of comfort is acquired. In my typical lesson, I start by reviewing the topics we have previously learned and then devising a lesson plan to work on the topics that still need help. As for children, my lessons revolve around their comfort and their needs, whether they are visual learners, hands-on learners, etc. I try to strike a balance between working and having fun to make sure they are 100% attentive as we go through new material.
