About Rishav
I have a keen interest in teaching philosophy, having spent the past 3 years teaching voluntarily at youth organizations to groups of 50+ aged 13-35. I have excelled in philosophy modules at university with a first-class average (74) over 4 years. My strengths are being able to reduce complex and abstract ideas into simple and logical arguments. 1. I believe the biggest challenge of philosophy is being able to reduce something highly complex and abstract into something simple and understandable. I always begin with identifying the core ideas and arranging them into a clear line of argumentation. This requires knowing which resources to look at and learning how to interpret the confusing language of philosophers.
2. I also teach the importance of creativity and imagination. These are essential skills for making your work stand out as they allow you to find interesting lines of argument/critiques.
3. Before writing an essay I teach the importance of structure; how to get a first-class structure for a philosophy essay using simple headings/categories.
