I just graduated from Colorado College and want to continue a career in biology and chemistry. I played D1 soccer for the Mountain West Conference, so I understand what it’s like to be on time crunches and frustrated with confusing subjects on top of a busy schedule! As a former D1 athlete who would like to continue my professional work with biological/ chemical research, I believe it is imperative to make use of what we learn by applying these skills to real world/ hypothetical examples. Just like sports, creativity and innovative strategizing produce legendary outcomes. This helps build our critical thinking, and makes it easier to grasp future subjects if we commit to fine-tuning these skills. I understand what it’s like to be a student with lots of demands and that can be stressful.
