About Sonia

I’m a qualified teacher (QTS) and native Spanish speaker with a passion for languages, education and connecting with people. I love helping students build their confidence and enjoy learning both English and Spanish.

After a couple of years of focusing on my little daughter I am coming back to tutoring because it such a rewarding job and feels natural to me!

Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about arts and dancing, and I’m always looking out to discover new hobbies and interests. I love having a good chat and, most of all, getting to know people from different cultures, hearing their ideas and learning from their experiences.

I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe that learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary — it’s also about communication, culture and connecting with others.

About the class

Learn a language your way!

Do you want to improve your English or Spanish without spending every lesson buried in a textbook? Then you’re in the right place!

My lessons are personalised, engaging, and built around you. I want to know what you enjoy, what motivates you, and what you want to achieve. Love music? Let’s learn through songs. Enjoy films and interviews? Perfect! Into books, travel, current events… or even football? We can use them all to make your lessons interesting and relevant.

I teach both English and Spanish, focusing on the things you actually need to communicate confidently: speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and practical communication.

In our first lesson, we’ll get to know each other, talk about your goals, and set some expectations together. Then I’ll create lessons that match your level and learning style. No two students are the same, so why should their lessons be?

I’m also the queen of organisation, so you can expect well-planned and structured lessons — but always with plenty of space for conversation, creativity, and having fun.

My biggest strength is working with children (hence my career, haha!), but I’ve successfully taught students of all ages and levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for a specific goal, or simply want to become more fluent and confident, I’ll make sure you feel supported every step of the way.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, asking questions, and trying again. That’s how real progress happens!

So, are you ready to make your language skills shine? Book a lesson with me and let’s start building your learning journey together!

Sonia is truly an exceptional tutor, and our whole family absolutely adores her!

All three of my children, aged 4, 7, and 15, have had lessons with Sonia, and I can say that she has been wonderful. It is quite remarkable to see how she manages to connect with three children at completely different ages, personalities, and learning levels.

What impressed me most was that Sonia never made the lessons feel like a chore or something the children had to do. They actually looked forward to seeing her every week! That, as a parent, says everything. All three of my children have become really fond of Sonia, and there is a genuine bond and trust between them.

She is creative, patient, caring, enthusiastic, and truly invested in her students.

Sonia is a brilliant teacher who is able to tailor her methods to each individual and maximise their learning potential. Not only is she from Spain, but she is a native of Castilla y León, where the "purest" form of Spanish is spoken. As a deaf learner, I found her accent to be the clearest and easiest to learn from. I could not recommend her highly enough!

Sonia is an absolutely outstanding Super Tutor!

Sonia has been my online Spanish teacher for the past few months, and I can honestly say that she is the best Spanish Tutor I´ve had. I feel lucky to have found her, and I couldn’t be happier.

What I appreciate most about Sonia’s teaching is how dynamic, personalized, and practical every lesson is. She doesn’t simply teach grammar rules; she takes the time to understand the goals I want to achieve and builds lessons around what I actually need.

Most importantly, Sonia creates an atmosphere of trust, encouragement, and positivity where you never feel embarrassed about making mistakes. That has made such a huge difference to my confidence when speaking Spanish.

I would recommend Sonia hesitation. Her dedication, incredible patience, enthusiasm, and genuine care for her students make her an exceptional teacher. If you’re looking for a tutor who will truly believe in you, support you, and help you achieve your goals, Sonia is the person you’re looking for. I couldn’t be happier with her!
