I am a qualified science teacher with a First Class degree in Biochemistry and over 1000 hours of tutoring experience supporting GCSE and A-Level students.
Chemistry has always fascinated me because it explains the processes that underpin everything from the reactions in our bodies to the materials we use every day. I understand that many students find Chemistry challenging, particularly when it comes to applying knowledge and solving unfamiliar problems. This is why I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps.

My Chemistry lessons are designed to help students develop a strong understanding of key concepts while improving their confidence and exam technique. Lessons are tailored to each student's strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals.
Chemistry can often feel challenging because it requires both knowledge and problem-solving skills. I break complex topics down into simple, manageable steps and help students understand the reasoning behind concepts rather than relying on memorisation alone.
A typical lesson will involve targeted teaching, worked examples, exam-style questions, and regular retrieval practice. We will also use exam-board specific past papers and mark schemes to develop the skills needed to approach unfamiliar questions and maximise marks in exams.
My goal is to help students feel confident when tackling Chemistry and provide them with the tools needed to achieve their target grades.
