I studied Chemistry at Newcastle University receiving a 2:1. I then stayed there for another year to complete my PGCE in Secondary Science specialising in Chemistry.

I focus very much on understanding the fundamentals first before moving on to the applications of a concept. I find that children then engage a lot more with the content this way as they truely understand it. I test their understanding by some questions and then solidify their knowledge by exam questions.
