About Orlando

My name is Orlando, and I am a Data Science undergraduate at the University of Bristol. I have over three years of experience teaching Computer Science and Maths at GCSE and A Level, as well as delivering fun, hands-on coding classes for children of all ages and abilities. As a passionate actor alongside my studies, I bring energy and creativity to every class, making programming both fun and educational!

About the class

Alongside teaching students aged 6-18 online, I have run coding camps, developed programming courses, and mentored children with Special Educational Needs, so I know how to bring out the best in every student. I am a high-achieving student with a strong academic record at University and A Levels.

My teaching approach is student-led, focusing on building confidence and critical thinking, rather than simply rote-learning. My goal is to not only help students succeed in exams, but to foster a genuine interest in the subject.

I am DBS-checked, providing a safe and trustworthy environment for students to learn and grow.

My son is taking classes from Orlando from about one year, Orlando is very professional and his method of teaching is excellent, he encourages child to solve problems and ask them different tricky questions during lesson to make sure they are fully focused and attentive.
Orlando gives quite few chances to students to solve problem before he thinks child is completely stuck and need help to solve the issue with code.

His method of explaning code is very interesting for children and they enjoy lesson with him.

Orlando brings interesting and challenging projects after every few weeks to make children learn advance coding according to their skills and age.
