Sterling is my dad, and has tutored me in a variety of programming languages. His teaching skills are good, and he has thirty years of programming experience under his belt. He is more than qualified in technical knowledge, and can explain why such systems are the way they are in way intuitive to understand.
When I was a kid, he taught me Scratch (a very basic game visual scripting site) and got me into some Minecraft modding (Java). He also taught me a little bit of Delphi. After graduating high school, we worked together on a web game, as I coded a JavaScript game engine under his guidance. Since then, my interest and the basis founded on his teaching has carried me into creating a number of small games in Unity (C#) with a focus on low level systems and highly dynamic mechanics.
