About Kyle
I struggled in the traditional schooling system. While I was able to get good grades, I did not enjoy lessons or the school structure. This experience has taught me that many people do not learn in classrooms. This encourages me to take personalised steps in learning how my students think, and how they best learn. From my schooling, I entered Civil Engineering. While the degree and industry was interesting, it wasn’t my passion. I left after a few years to pursue teaching and the propagation of knowledge. During university was also where I learned to dance, and that highlighted to me the very clear link between physical movement and learning, as well as showing to me the many different ways people absorb and retain information. I hope that I can provide a refreshing perspective on education, and to allow any who wish it to excel in their own passionate fields.

I will tailor each lesson to the needs of the students, spending my own time in the first lesson so I can learn how they learn. First lesson is free, and depending on time, I am happy to offer lessons between 1 and 2 hours long. I am autistic and I bring alternative viewpoints and perspectives, especially for those who are neurodivergent or otherwise struggle with traditional methods of teaching. I have a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton as well as 3 years industry experience, with a further 4 years of private tutoring experience across a wide range of subjects including Maths, all Sciences, History and English as a Foreign Language. I am also a Salsa teacher; I am very confident teaching anyone across a varied spectrum of subjects.
