About Anastasiia
Hi! I’m Anastasiia, a professional actress, singer, and acting and voice teacher from Ukraine, currently living in Bristol.
I’ve loved singing since childhood, and when I was growing up, I dreamed of becoming a film director. I ended up entering the film and theatre world through a few different doors instead! Acting eventually became my profession, and teaching voice and acting became another important part of my life.
My experience as an actress and voice teacher has strongly influenced me as a vocalist and songwriter. I write my own songs and create the lyrics, instrumental parts and vocals myself. My music moves between gothic rock, post-punk, darkwave, synthwave, industrial, indie and pop, with a strong love for cinematic sound. I also use spoken word in my music, which comes quite naturally to me through my background in acting and voice training.
I’m especially passionate about gothic art in music, literature and cinema, and I’ve written academic articles about gothic film. I also love film noir, neo-noir and thrillers, from silent cinema to contemporary films. I’m fascinated by atmosphere, characters, symbolism and the hidden meanings behind stories.
I moved to the UK in 2023 because of the war in Ukraine. Today, I’m happy to continue developing my work as an actress, teacher and musician here.
What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing people become more confident, expressive and comfortable with their own voice. I love sharing my artistic interests with students and creating a space where they can experiment, discover new things and enjoy the process.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience in acting, voice, speech, breathing, intonation and movement. I hold a Master’s Degree with Honours in Performing Arts and a PhD in Cultural Studies, and I currently teach Acting and Voice at the Kharkiv State Academy of Culture.
Alongside teaching, I am a professional actress, musician and singer. I have worked in theatres in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and have experience creating and directing performances, numbers and shows. I also have a talent agent in the UK and have already gained professional experience working on film and television productions.
My lessons combine theory with practical exercises in acting, voice, breathing, speech, intonation and movement. We can work on acting technique, character and scene analysis, self-tapes, audition preparation, stage presence, and preparation for entrance exams to drama schools and universities.
I work both with aspiring professionals and with people who simply want to become more confident, expressive and comfortable with their voice and body. For singers, I can also work on artistry, performance and spoken word.
For anyone interested in cinema, I can also offer lessons in film history and teach you how to analyse films, scenes, characters, acting and directing more deeply.
My lessons are available for students aged 15 and above, from complete beginners to professional performers. Sessions usually last 50–60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs, with 30-minute lessons also available when a shorter session is more suitable.
