I hate that at my age, I lack the confidence to swim, but after meeting Fred, he was able to empower me with confidence to learn without feeling ashamed at my age. I’ve had plenty of teachers recently, and Fred is more than ‘do this and ‘do that’; he breaks down the stroke by demonstrating and working on foundations, such as learning how to float so you can maintain a streamlined body while doing a front crawl. His methods focus more on how to become a better swimmer rather than doing laps in a pool.

I was sceptical of his methods when I was doing activities like floating streamlined and working on blowing bubbles. Or slowly practising lifting my head for a smooth turn, but after some time, I managed to see how it all works. I’m still learning, and I’m doing a lot better than I ever did before. I managed to swim a full length without my legs dropping.
