About Sam

I am a Senior at BYU-Idaho. I have a 3.98 GPA and am preparing for the MCAT and medical school applications in early 2027. I have a deep understanding of Biology and Human Anatomy. I currently volunteer as a TA for the university human anatomy course and lab. I want you to be successful and take away from this, a mastery of the human body and the biology of every aspect of life.

About the class

I am a very involved teacher. I love to help my students truly understand the material and then help them teach their peers. Teaching is the best way to learn something so students will be expected to teach each other in my sessions. My lessons will be for middle and high school level biology and anatomy in preparation for university-level teaching.

My lessons for anatomy will be region based so we'll go through all the muscles, bones, organs, vasculature, and connective tissue of each region of the body based on the needs of the student. I also will provide case study examples for students to practice applying what they've learned to real life patient evaluation scenarios.

Biology will be based on the needs of the student. I excelled in cell biology, ecology, genetics, and aspects of evolution.

Sam is the most mature, humble, and driven dude. We are very close friends and I almost feel like a little brother to him. We spent a lot of time together in Houston where he taught me by word and example how to be a missionary. He counseled with me about how to help others grow and he corrected me with kindness when it was appropriate. He is totally centered on truth and righteousness and will do anything to help others. He also works really really hard if you can’t tell.

Sam Madsen is such an amazing guy! I served a mission with him for the Church of Jesus Christ, and he is very impressive. He has photographic memory which makes him a real asset while learning new things. He’s a very hard worker and a stand-up guy. I have no doubt that Sam makes every tutoring appointment effective and enjoyable
