About Seetharam
This is Dr. Pondala Seetharam. Currently I am working as Assistant professor in the
department of chemistry in the Lendi Institute of Engineering and Technology. I have
obtained Ph.D. from the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, Andhra
University, Visakhapatnam, India, under the guidance of Dr. B. B.V. Sailaja in the year
2018. My PhD work covers “A Study on chemical speciation of Glycylglycine and
Histamine with essential Metal ions in Micellar media”. I have completed masters in
Bioinorganic Chemistry and also obtained a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. At the time of
Ph.D. I worked as lecturer for Postgraduate Students and also worked as a research fellow
in ISRO Sponsored research project entitled “Air-Sea fluxes of CO2 from coastal waters of
Bay of Bengal influence of physical and biogeochemical process” in Andhra University.
After Completion of Ph.D. I worked as Research Analyst in Shan Poornam Metals,
Malaysia.
My research areas are mainly focused on chemical speciation, CO2 fluxes in ocean
atmosphere, Precious metals recovery from electronic waste and groundwater quality. I
have published 14 research papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals. I
have four years’ experience in handling sophisticated instruments like Autotitrator, Licor-
840A CO2/H2O Analyzer, Coulometer, UV-VISIBLE Spectrophotometer and ICPMS.
