I have been studying Portuguese with Stella for well over a year and I highly recommend her. Stella presents the educational materials in a fun and engaging manner. Stella places proper emphasis on the knowledge of Portuguese grammar as well as expanding the vocabulary through exercises. Stella introduces cultural and historical aspects of Brazil to put the Portuguese language in its proper context. Stella is extremely flexible and accommodating to reasonable schedule changes. As an unexpected and very positive outcome of lessons with Stella, I was able to start using Portuguese in a global corporate setting. I would highly recommend Stella to anyone willing to put time and effort into learning Portuguese.

I have been doing classes with Stella on Duolingo since June 2021. Stella is great, she is always well prepared, organized. She blends encouragement with helpful corrections in a welcoming environment. The classes are informal and relaxed but organized and well-structured. We discuss interesting themes that make me feel more connected to the other participants. Her classes are very popular so I make sure to sign up early, as do others. This has led to a regular group of attendees and a feeling of community. I have not done any private lessons yet but others in the group have highly recommended her and when I decide to intensify my studies I will schedule time with Stella.
