About Honey
I am a professional piano tutor with 12 years of experience and a successful record of teaching around 300 students. My learners include high school students, college learners, and adults who want to improve technical skill, performance confidence, and musical understanding.
My teaching philosophy balances structured learning with encouragement and creativity. I focus on developing a solid technical foundation through scales, chord exercises, finger training, rhythm practice, and sight-reading. I also emphasise musicality, phrasing, and expressive interpretation to help students communicate emotion through their playing.
Each lesson is carefully planned with technical exercises, theory integration, repertoire practice, and performance preparation. I adapt my approach to suit individual goals, whether students are preparing for graded exams, recitals, or personal enjoyment.
Many of my students have achieved excellent results in examinations and performed confidently on stage. I am committed to guiding each student with patience, structure, and encouragement to unlock their full potential and foster a lifelong love of piano.

My piano teaching method focuses on adapting to each student’s learning style, maintaining flexibility, encouraging collaboration, and promoting positivity. I start by assessing each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. Then I customise lessons to help them improve effectively.
I teach technical skills such as scales, chord progressions, rhythm patterns, and sight-reading. I also focus on musical expression and stage confidence. If a student needs more practice in certain areas, I adjust the lesson plan accordingly.
Collaboration allows students to feel involved and motivated. We work together to set achievable goals and track progress. I ensure that lessons remain positive and encouraging.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, harmony, ear training, and beginner composition. These related subjects help students understand the structure of music and improve performance quality.
