About Paul Ma Mayimbu
I am a PhD holder with a doctoral degree in language sciences: didactics and methodology of teaching French as a foreign and second language, French for specific purposes, French for university purposes, French for professions (medical, business, military, legal, tourism and hospitality, etc.). More importantly I have more than 15 years of relevant profession experience in France and Africa while teaching in alliance françaises, public, private and international schools, colleges, universities. I do teach IB, ab-initio, IGCSE, MYP, PYP, prepare students and professionals for DELF and DALF exams, and all the professional exams set by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris where I did my training for professional French at its university. I use personalized, task-oriented, action-oriented, communicative and intercultural approaches while my learners remain at the central point of my teaching (Learner-centered approach of teaching) and use a variety of authentic materials to motivate them and the totality of all these pedagogical techniques and practical strategies assist me to create a safe, productive and positive learning environment for the acquisitions of language and cultural skills: listening, reading, speaking, writing and (inter)-cultural skills.

My lessons are planned according to the students specific needs as I define pragmatic, linguistic and sociocultural objectives to achieve while focusing on the four language skills and the cultural aspect of the French language. I use a variety of authentic materials to create a safe, productive and positive learning environment for the acquisition of knowledge. I use action-oriented, communicative and intercultural approaches while looking at the personalized, adapted, explicit and differentiated pedagogy to motivate my student and achieve goals pre-defined for my lessons. My lessons are for different audiences as per my profile as a methodologist and didactician, meaning all the nomenclatures: FLE/FLS/FOS/FOU/FLP, IBDP, ab-initio, IGCSE, MYP, PYP. I always play a role of facilitator and guide while assist them to become linguistically autonomous to use the French language in different and real situations of communication and contexts. For all my professional students in different organizations, I do the linguistic audit, discourse analysis, collection of the language corpus or linguistic and intercultural needs analysis prior to the conception of lessons to allow me to know their specific needs and design (a) French for specific purposes course (s) assisting them to acquire French language and intercultural competences, to be more autonomous and use the French language in line with their respective job and profession as a practical way to dismantle all the language and cultural barriers and challenges they might face in different contexts (medical, business, diplomacy, military, tourism and hospitality, humanitarian, French teaching methodology, Interpol, etc.). For students in elementary and high schools I am specialized in different curriculum: French as a foreign and second language, IBDP, ab-initio, MYP, PYP, IGCSE, etc. For the college and university students I am a didactician and methodologist capable of analyzing your specific linguistic and cultural needs as per your courses and design specific lessons according to your academic needs, etc.
